Switch between Facebook ad accounts

If you have access to more than one Facebook ad account, you can switch between them without disconnecting and reconnecting. This is common for agencies managing multiple clients and for users who have both a personal and business ad account.

Who this is for

Users with access to more than one Meta ad account under the same Facebook login. If you need to connect a completely different Facebook user account, see Connect Meta (Facebook & Instagram) instead.

Switch the active Facebook ad account

  1. Go to Brands from the top navigation.
  2. Find the Meta connection under Connected accounts.
  3. Tap on the connector to open it and then click on the Edit option that will be displayed.
  4. You'll be redirected to the Facebook connector where you can switch between ad accounts. Select the one you want to switch to.
  5. Click Confirm or Save to apply the change.
The platform will now pull campaigns, pages, pixels, and data from the newly selected ad account. Previously created campaigns stay associated with the account they were built under.
 
Switching accounts doesn't migrate campaigns. Any campaigns you created under the previous ad account stay there — they won't appear under the new account. If you need to work across multiple accounts simultaneously, consider setting up separate workspaces.
 
If you don't see the account you're looking for in the dropdown, the Facebook login you used to connect doesn't have access to it. You'll need to be added as a user in that account's Meta Business Manager before it will appear.
 

If the account you need isn't listed

The dropdown only shows ad accounts that your connected Facebook profile has access to. To add access to another account:

  • Ask the account owner to add you in Meta Business Manager → Users → People
  • Or, if you manage that account under a different Facebook login, disconnect the current connection and reconnect using the correct Facebook profile
