How to Fix the Meta Verification Error?
If you’re encountering a Meta verification (authentication) error, you can resolve it directly from Meta Ads Manager by following the steps on the video or detailed below.
Steps to Fix the Error Without Launching a Campaign (Recommended)
- Go to Meta Ads Manager: https://adsmanager.facebook.com Make sure you are on the correct account!
- Click the green Create button to start a new campaign
- Don’t worry! You will not launch the campaign. - Choose Traffic as the campaign objective and click Continue.
- Select Manual Traffic Campaign.
- Navigate to the Ad level (third level)
- Once you’re on the Ad level, a notification should appear on the right-hand side prompting you to start authentication.
- Verify your email: Click the notification and complete the email verification process.
After verifying your email, the Meta verification error should be resolved.
If the Verification Notification Doesn’t Appear
You’ll need to briefly publish the campaign to force Meta to display the error:
- Complete the required campaign fields. Fill in any missing information, such as website URL, Image, Headlines and descriptions
These do not need to be accurate! You can upload a random image and use test copy. - Publish the campaign.
- Complete any additional requirements: Meta may prompt you to complete missing steps, such as phone number verification.
- Add the missing information and relaunch the campaign.
- Look for the Meta verification error
Meta should now display an authentication error along with a button to fix it! - Follow the on-screen steps to finish authentication.
Once completed, the Meta verification error should be resolved.
After Verification, You can safely pause or delete the test campaign!
