Connect Spotify

Connect your Spotify Ad Studio account to run ads on Spotify. Spotify ads reach listeners during free music and podcast sessions.

Advertisers who want to reach Spotify's free-tier audience with audio or video ads. Available in supported countries, check ads.spotify.com for the latest availability list.

Before you begin

  • A Spotify Ad Studio account — create one at ads.spotify.com
  • Your Spotify Ad Studio account must be approved and active (not pending)
  • Admin access to the Ad Studio account
Spotify Ad Studio accounts require approval. If your account is still pending review by Spotify, you won't be able to connect until it's approved. This typically takes 1–3 business days.
 

How to connect

  1. Go to Brands from the top navbar.
  2. Under Connected accounts, find Spotify and click Connect.
  3. A Spotify authorization window will open. Log in with the Spotify account linked to your Ad Studio account.
  4. Review the permissions and click Agree to grant access.
  5. Select the Ad Studio account you want to connect and click Confirm.
Once connected, Spotify will be available as a platform when creating campaigns. You can create audio ads directly, no separate audio production required, as Plai offers a free text-to-voice tool.

Spotify ads play between songs for free-tier listeners. Standard formats includes Audio ads — 15–30 second audio spots, optionally with a companion display banner

Spotify ad campaigns typically require a minimum daily budget of $15. It's best suited for brand awareness rather than direct response campaigns.
