Connect ChatGPT

Connect your ChatGPT ad account to start running ChatGPT campaigns and manage everything from one place.

 

Who this is for

All users who want to create or manage ChatGPT campaigns. You'll need an existing ChatGPT Ads account. If you don't have one yet, create one at ads.openai.com before continuing.

Before you begin

  • You need a ChatGPT ad account
  • ChatGPT Ads are only available on the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea (soon expanding to Brazil, Mexico, France, Germany, Ireland & Singapore).

Steps

  1. First to the left on the top navigation, open the Brands tab and select the workspace you want to connect.
  2. Look for ChatGPT within Connected Accounts, then tap Connect.
  3. An API key will be requested from you. You'll be able to find it within your ChatGPT Ads account, within the General area of the Settings.
  4. Scroll down to API Keys and generate a new key.
  5. Add the API Key to the connection screen.
  6. Click Connect. The connection will verify within a few seconds.

Expected result

Your ChatGPT ad account is now connected. You'll see a green connected indicator next to ChatGPT in your ad accounts list.

Any existing ChatGPT campaigns will show up on reporting automatically.

 

Common issues

  • Country not supported: ChatGPT Ads are only available in a few selected countries, namely United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea (soon expanding to Brazil, Mexico, France, Germany, Ireland & Singapore). You should expect to soon see more countries.
