Check your campaign status

Every campaign shows a status that tells you exactly where it is in its lifecycle — whether it's live, under review, paused, or encountering an issue. Here's how to find it and what each status means.

Who this is for

All users. Applies to campaigns on all ad platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Spotify).

How to find your campaign status

  1. Go to the Advertise tab from the top navigation.
  2. Scroll down to see the reporting and find your campaign in the list. The Status column shows if each campaign is currently enabled.
  3. Click on Charts hovering over any campaign to open its detailed view. You'll see the status for the campaign as a whole, and individual statuses for each ad set and ad within it.

Within the charts area you'll find a detailed status shown in the platform that reflects what the connected ad platform (Meta, Google, etc.) is reporting. If something looks unexpected, the ad platform's own dashboard is the source of truth.

What each status means

Active

The campaign is live and approved. It is actively competing for impressions and spending toward your budget. This is the expected state for a running campaign.

In Review

Your ad has been submitted to the ad platform and is awaiting approval. This typically takes a few minutes to 24 hours. You don't need to do anything — just wait. If it's been over 24 hours, see Why your ad was blocked by Meta or check the ad platform directly.

Paused

The campaign has been manually paused — either by you or by someone else with access. It is not spending. To resume, open the campaign and toggle it back to Active. See Pause or unpause a campaign.

Rejected

The ad was reviewed and did not meet the ad platform's policies. You'll usually see a reason code or message. The campaign will not run until the issue is resolved. See Why your ad was blocked by Meta for the most common causes and fixes.

Scheduled

The campaign has been set up with a future start date. It's not live yet but will start automatically at the scheduled time.

Finalized

The campaign's end date has passed. It stopped spending automatically when the end date was reached.

Error / Account Issue

There's a problem with the connected ad account — often a billing issue or a disconnected payment method. Check your ad account's billing status in the native platform (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, etc.). See My ad isn't spending — what's wrong? for a full list of causes.
